Steven Hercenberg, CFA
Steven Hercenberg, CFA Engaged in solving financial problems since 1972, Mr. Hercenberg received his MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business in Finance and Investment Management. At the U.S. Department of Treasury, he helped resolve the S&L crisis by designing tools to identify and liquidate weak thrifts. Prior to earning an MBA, he analyzed hundreds of pension plans as an Economist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics – including CSRS. Mr. Hercenberg also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1986 and has been published in CFA Magazine. He managed more than 300 accounts with more than $100 million in assets for the oldest commercial bank in DC, the National Bank of Washington. He oversaw investment research compliance and contributed to improved client ratings of the overall quality of investment research at the oldest investment bank in the country, Alex. Brown & Sons. He oversaw compliance of investment research at Charles Schwab & Co. as well.
